Well, that was a surprise!

Finding a reasonably priced spot with great access to downtown and highway was refreshing! My stay in the Deluxe Queen Room with Two Queen Beds was comfortable, and the location made it convenient for local dining options. Just don’t expect too much from breakfast – it was quite basic. All in all, it served its purpose well.

Family stay with many issues

We reserved two suites, but one room leaked and we kinda had to deal with it. The cleaning crew was nice, and the breakfast staff tried their best to offer something, but when they said full breakfast, that wasn't at all what we got.

Paid quite a lot for what we got, but the stay was still manageable in a way.

The location offers great access to hiking trails. The room had cleanliness issues with unvacuumed carpets. Friendly staff provided good service.

Had an amazing time with friends! We hiked the scenic trails near Lopez Lake and enjoyed some thrilling moments at the nearby Chumash Casino Resort. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was a highlight with tasty options to start our day.

One downside was that the bathroom outlets didn’t work, but it wasn't a major hassle.

The air conditioning was difficult to control due to awkward placement, making the stay less enjoyable. One highlight was the freshly baked European bread during breakfast, which was a nice touch.

It was just a great match for a weekend jaunt in San Luis Obispo with high value for money. The staff member who checked me in was super pleasant and made the check-in process easy. Make sure to inspect your room before settling in.

I stayed at Lamplighter for a couple of nights and had a mix of experiences. The location is great, just a short drive to downtown SLO and close to the freeway. The lobby has a nice touch with a large fish tank, which adds a calming vibe. The staff was really friendly, especially the receptionist who moved me to another room when I had issues. My first room had a strong odor and some cleanliness concerns, like stained carpet and bedspreads. The second room I checked into was a bit better, with new hardwood floors but still had old curtains and some maintenance needed. The breakfast was definitely a highlight. it had a good variety including eggs, sausage, and make-your-own waffles. However, the bathroom felt outdated and I noticed some stained towels. Maintenance issues like the heater not working properly and the TV being limited in channels were frustrating. Overall, the basics are covered, but cleanliness and updating the worn areas should be prioritized.

The room was comfortable, but the bathroom sink barely drained.

my stay was marred by poor a/c and disrespectful staff. thankfully, wi-fi was reliable in the chaos. stay away if you want comfort.
